Accelerate Pharma: The Solvent Debate

And no, bananas aren’t really fattening, that’s an old wives tale.

This pillar was already here, but I love it, so it’s going to stay just the same. It’s pretty small in this hall so there isn’t much room for a table or bench.

This pillar gives me somewhere to put some flowers or whatever I think is seasonally necessary, decorating-wise.. That’s what we’ve got so far!Up next, more white paint, installing the wainscotting, and then choosing some sort of contrasting color for the top half of the walls. The other night I needed a little pick-me-up.I was thinking about different decorating projects I could do, but then reminding myself that I need to tackle the bigger stuff first (which I have been, believe-you-me), but then feeling like I just wish I could be “done” one little room so I could actually just play around in it, but then realizing that it was going to take a little while and not to waste my time creating a bunch of decorations that just aren’t going to work in the final room anyway.. It’s a noisy place inside my head..

So then I came across this idea on Pinterest. And it was do-able.

And would take about 3 minutes.

Not too much time to waste at all!.I’ll be sharing one project that I’ve done tomorrow, but for today I wanted to share a few of my favorite tips and tricks for making painting a fun, productive, and relatively quick experience rather than the long drawn-out process of time-suckingness that so many people have come to dread..

So here’s how I do it!.#1: Use Disposables.

Wherever you can, I highly recommend using disposable foam brushes and rollers. This doesn’t always make sense, but for small projects, or for projects where you really want a smooth finish with no brush strokes, foam is the way to go.
