The Dyson blog: Artificial and Human Intelligence

It was from a lovely editor named Elizabeth from a publishing company asking if I was interested in talking with them about writing a book.

If that doesn’t happen though, and I forget again about the power of these 15 minutes, can someone remind me in the Spring?.I’m going to need all the 15 minutes’ and the 365 days’ that I can get!I really really love a good rag wreath.

I think I’ve made about four of them for different occasions this year.I just love how soft and textury and homey they are.. Well, I was tempted to make another one for Fall this year.Is there a more textury season than Fall?

I had a little bit of a different idea though after looking at some of my favorite images of Fall entryways..I used a long piece of twine to tie fabric strips to and made a garland!.

Ok, truth be told, this really isn’t much of a garland.

I worked on it for about 2.5 hours while watching a movie. The best part was that it was actually easier to push them in with my thumb rather than use a hammer.

I spaced them out an inch apart for a little more of a relaxed look.I used the hammer in the end just to make sure the tacks were all pushed in all the way.

That was fun too..I honestly don’t think the overall look is that different from “real” nail head trim.
