The golden oak cabinets aren’t really my thing, but the previous home owners definitely did a great job of making this a cozy and functional kitchen and they didn’t cheap out on things like good quality hardware and cabinetry.

I even do some experimenting every once in a while and find some really great tips and trick to share with you, which I love doing! When it comes to stains though, I completely drop the ball.

It seems like I’m always just tossing all of our clothes, whether stained or not, straight into the washer, always forgetting to check for stains and treat them. And then, I forget again and put those stained items straight into the dryer, setting that darn stain in for life!So basically, if (when) an item of clothing gets a stain, it’s pretty much toast.

Sometimes I get lucky and the stain comes out on its own, but usually not.I think a large part of my stain neglect has come from the fact that I’ve never really found something that.

So in the back of my mind, I’m just kind of thinking “Why bother?” instead of “No problem!

Let’s watch this stain disappear!” Well, I’m happy to say that I’ve been through a thorough program of stain-fighting rehab with Resolve® and now I’m a changed girl!Back to the trim..

Although it’s really tempting when you get deep into a project to rip everything out and start fresh, it can really help your budget if you leave some of the trim that’s already there in place if it’s in decent shape. The door and all the moldings around the door are original.

Although, the people here before us did some funky things with the door casing when they put the paneling in back in the day, it’s overall still in pretty good shape, so we kept it all..Same with around the window.
